Save our Mountains

In this unit, students will learn about Nevada’s mountain habitats, natural hazards, and natural hazard mitigation through STEAM activities. Students will analyze weather data, explore case studies, present on fire management, and create an engineering design solution in response to a potential natural hazard. This unit will also help students develop public speaking skills, consider information from various sources, and share scientific knowledge with public audiences.
