Energy Expedition
In this STEM Kit, students will learn about energy, energy transfer, and power generation through hands-on, STEM stations. Students will learn about and sort different forms of energy, convert energy from one form to another, and use critical thinking to complete a Nevada-based, power generation simulation. STEM Kits are uniquely designed to support formal or informal use. They can be implemented as quick lessons between classroom units, in afterschool programming, science clubs, libraries, and at science nights.
Hands-on Activities:
- Forms of energy sorting activity
- Renewable energy puzzle game
- Energy transfer observation stations (wind turbine and hand crank radio)
- Power Nevada map and simulation
